Schatzalp - the Magic mountain

A place for those who seek peace, appreciate Nature and want to experience history. The historic hotel and Alpine surroundings shape this special spot 300 metres above Davos. The Schatzalp railway has been running to the tranquil, south-facing sun terrace since 1899. This is where Thomas Mann wrote his novel "Der Zauberberg" (The Magic Mountain) about the former sanatorium.
